Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Virtual Reality (VR) Artist to join our team. As a VR Artist, you will be responsible for designing and developing immersive virtual environments and experiences. You will work closely with a team of designers, developers, and project managers to bring innovative VR concepts to life.
Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling and Texturing: Create high-quality 3D models and textures for virtual environments, objects, and characters.
- Environment Design: Design and build immersive virtual environments, including landscapes, interiors, and outdoor settings.
- Lighting and Rendering: Utilize lighting techniques to create realistic and visually appealing scenes.
- Animation: Create realistic and engaging animations for characters and objects within the VR environment.
- User Interface (UI) Design: Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for VR experiences.
- VR Optimization: Optimize 3D models and textures for VR platforms to ensure smooth performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a cohesive and engaging VR experience.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest VR technologies and trends.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, Unity)
- Experience with VR development tools and platforms (e.g., HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR)
- A strong understanding of 3D modeling techniques, including topology, UV mapping, and texturing
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating immersive experiences
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A portfolio demonstrating strong VR design and development skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real-time rendering engines
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and workflows
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#)
- A strong understanding of human factors and ergonomics in VR design
