Job Description
Monolith is seeking a video editor who has a passion for video editing (in both a studio environment and in the field), proven agency and post-production experience and a commitment to program excellence.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Video Editor to join our production team in supporting Meta Korea.
In this role, you will be responsible for independently producing high-quality video content that aligns with our client’s brand identity. Your proficiency in video editing software, creative mindset, and attention to detail will be crucial in elevating our video content to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw video footage into compelling and visually appealing videos that effectively communicate our message.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the visual storytelling.
- Trim, arrange, and enhance video clips, incorporating transitions, graphics, animations, and sound effects as needed.
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video content.
- Independently manage video projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality and impact of our video content.
- Able to execute and collaborate with producers to successfully deliver a video production effectively in a fast paced, high profile studio environment.
- Assist to review clients request and provide creative/technical direction for planning, scheduling, and delivery of post production content.
- Reports to Supervisor in market.
- Be able to adhere to best practices, SLAs adherence & risk management across all productions.
- Take on tasks in special projects as outlined by Supervisor and executes them within agreed timeline.
- Reviews current equipment and provide feedback on workflow etc. Identify system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
- Able to augment team's efforts to ensure all entries and schedules are updated on the team’s calendars, working closely with the team to ensure optimum postproduction pipeline.
- Being able to demonstrates technical aptitude to learn and take on other responsibilities operationally across the technical spectrum within studio.
- Adheres to Operational and Technical SOPs Crew and resource accordingly based of the production requirements within guidelines.
- Adapting Video Products to fit requirements of clients and target audience and advise creatively on the best concepts and formats to achieve those results.
- Suggest improvement to internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Be part of the crew during production and being able to play a varied number of roles.
- Engages XFN teams to support any requirements for the production in a timely manner via the correct channels.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to tell compelling visual stories.
- Experience in editing short form content such as Instagram Reels and case studies videos.
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Solid understanding of video composition, colour grading, audio mixing, and visual effects.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail, with a passion for staying current with evolving industry trends.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
- Experience with technical challenges and problem solving needs in a video production environment.
- Strong interest in technology and agility at learning new products and features.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends if needed.
- Exceptional professionalism and customer-service skills and comfortable interacting with C-Level Executives, celebrities and other VIP guests.
- Able to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse & demanding environment and copes well under pressure. Experience in a Corporate Environment a plus.
- Must be fluent both in Korean and English
